Interfaith Open Day at Guru Nanak Gurdwara, Willenhall 09.11.2019

Art Sikh were very proud and honoured to have been able to exhibit at the Interfaith Open Day Exhibition at Guru Nanak Gurdwara, Willenhall on the 9th November 2019. We held a pop-up one day touring exhibition in celebration of the life and legacy of Guru Nanak Dev Ji (the founderof Sikhism) in commemoration of their 550th birth Anniversary. The diverse local community groups were able to come and view artworks created by our artists in devotion and admiration of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and their teachings on humanity as one. The Guru Nanak Gurdwara, Willenhall is paving the way of what every Sikh Gurdwara or place of worship should strive to do; bringing diverse communities together to share and learn about one another, seeing humanity as one. The event included various workshops from learning classical music to making chapatis, tours of the Gurdwara, A rare coin exhibition and free food (langar).
